Terms of Service

Pre-launch

Moneta is pre-launch. The complete Terms of Service will be published here before accounts open. That includes the account terms, product disclosure and target market determinations required in each jurisdiction. Until then, this is what those terms will cover.

1. About these terms

These terms will govern your use of the Moneta platform and website, and will form part of the agreement between your business and the relevant Moneta entity for your jurisdiction. Moneta Worldwide is a financial technology company, not a bank; payment and account services are provided through regulated partner institutions.

2. Who can use Moneta

Moneta accounts are for businesses only. Eligibility, onboarding requirements and verification of directors and beneficial owners will apply to every account, together with our right to decline or close accounts that don’t meet our regulatory and risk criteria.

3. The services

Multi-currency accounts, local and international payments, currency conversion, corporate cards and related reporting, including which regulated entity or partner provides each service in each jurisdiction.

4. Fees and FX pricing

Fees will be as published on the pricing page or as separately agreed. FX conversions are priced as a disclosed spread on the mid-market rate, shown in each quote before you accept.

5. Approvals, permissions and your team

You control user access, roles and maker-checker approval workflows, and you’re responsible for keeping credentials secure.

6. Client funds

How client funds are held with regulated partner institutions, segregated from Moneta’s own funds, in accounts issued in your business’s name.

7. Prohibited use, compliance and monitoring

Sanctions, anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing obligations, prohibited activities, and the information we may require from you on an ongoing basis.

8. Liability, suspension and termination

Services may be suspended or terminated in defined circumstances, and each party’s liability is limited. The specifics are set out when the full terms publish.

9. Complaints and disputes

How to raise a complaint and how disputes are handled. See also our complaints page.

10. Governing law

The governing law and jurisdiction applicable to your agreement, by Moneta entity.
